      Green lipped mussels (Perna canaliculus) contain a complex of natural active ingredients consisting of glycosaminoglycans (GAG), special Omega 3 fatty acids1, amino acids2, trace elements3and natural antioxidants. Positive effects on arthritis symptoms have been shown in scientific studies involving dogs with a 0.45g / 10kg body mass (Bierer & Bui, 2002).
      AGIL-Tabs correspond to 0.6 g per 10 kg of dog's weight when administered according to the recommended dosage. When Perna canaliculus is added to the diet, a reduction in pain and stiffness in the joints can be observed. This effectiveness is not attributable to a single substance contained in the mussels, but to the entire complex of active ingredients present in Perna canaliculus.

      Vitamin C

      (quantity added: 2,750 mg / kg) is extremely important for the endogenous production (synthesis) of collagen. Under stressful conditions (e.g. joint pain) the dog's body may not produce a sufficient amount of vitamin C. The supplementation of vitamin C therefore plays a role in supporting the formation of collagen and promotes the stability of cartilage and joints. .

      Vitamin E

      (quantity added: 5,000 IU / kg) performs a fundamental function of protecting unsaturated fatty acids (Omega 3 fatty acids) and cartilage cells from oxidation by free radicals. They are formed in large quantities in inflammatory processes in the joints.
      Furthermore, vitamin E is important for the preservation and stability of membranes, particularly in skeletal muscles. This path supports the building of muscle tissue and stabilization of the joints.

      Omega 3 fatty acids

      Percentage of Omega 3 fatty acids: 3.3%; eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA): 0.2%; docosahexaenoic acid (DHA): 3.0%. The high content of added Omega 3 fatty acids effectively restricts the ratio between Omega 6 and Omega 3 fatty acids normally present in the diet. This naturally reduces the body's inflammatory response.
