Aurora Biofarma Lacrivet eye drops for dogs and cats are a device for veterinary use, consisting of a slightly hypo-osmolal and viscous solution, sterile, at physiological pH, free of preservatives, including a dry extract of Perilla in combination with hyaluronic acid , in the form of sodium salt, in single-dose packs of 0.5 ml, with high biocompatibility.

INDICATIONS : it is indicated for the protection of the ocular surface in all conditions characterized by qualitative and quantitative alterations of the tear film (eg redness and dryness of the eye, conjunctival hyper-reactivity).

PROPERTIES : the Perilla extract, obtainable from both the seeds and the leaves of the plant, contains polyphenols that inhibit the action of free radicals. Hyaluronic acid is a highly biocompatible polysaccharide polymer and has a great capacity to hydrate; at the ocular level it proves to be an excellent lubricant thanks to its visco-elastic behavior. Thanks to this particular qualitative-quantitative composition, it is able to determine an antioxidant, refreshing, moisturizing and diluting action by virtue of the selected slight viscosity.

PACKAGING : the package consists of 2 bags of 5 single-dose vials each. The 0.5 ml single-dose container is resealable.

Composition:
Dry extract of Perilla (titrated in polyphenols ≥ 2.5%), hyaluronic acid sodium salt, sodium chloride, anhydrous dibasic sodium phosphate, monobasic sodium monohydrate, purified water qs 100 ml.

WARNINGS : Keep out of reach of children. The product is for ophthalmic use only.

Once opened, the single-dose vial can be closed with the appropriate cap, but the solution contained must be used within 12 hours. Do not use the product if the aluminum bag is damaged or if the vials are not perfectly intact.
Before opening the ampoule for the administration of the drops, wash your hands thoroughly. During instillation, do not touch the eye or other surfaces with the delivery end of the vial.

Do not use the product in case of known incompatibility with even one component of the formulation. Suspend use in case of obvious irritation or hypersensitivity to the product.

Do not use the product after the expiry date indicated on the package. Do not dispose of the container in the environment after use. Store in a dry place, away from heat sources and direct exposure to sunlight, at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C.

VALIDITY : 24 months

METHOD OF USE:

- Open the protective aluminum bag

- Separate a single-dose vial from the bar of 5 containers

- Twist and break the cap of the vial

- Gently press the body of the single-dose vial and instill 2/3 drops per eye two or more times a day, according to the opinion of the veterinarian

- Hold the animal still, lower the lower eyelid and instill the preparation, taking care not to touch the eye with the edge of the vial

- After instillation, immediately close the vial and reuse the residual content within the next 12 hours

- Keep unused vials in the foil pouch

- The product in ampoule is for single-patient use
