Methionin ist eine essentielle Aminosäure, die in allen Katzenfuttermitteln als natürlicher Eiweißbaustein enthalten ist. Methionin hat harnsäuernde Eigenschaften und kann zur Vorbeugung, insbesondere gegen Struvitsteine, eingesetzt werden.
Die Verabreichung eines LEONARDO DRINK URINARY pro Tag kann den pH-Wert des Urins um etwa 0,2–0,3 Einheiten senken.
LEONARDO URINARY DRINK zeichnet sich durch eine hohe Schmackhaftigkeit aus und hat den Vorteil, dass es zusätzlich zum üblichen Trockenfutter verabreicht werden kann, um Struvitsteinen vorzubeugen.
