Therapeutic dietary supplement specially formulated to help maintain and / or regenerate the protective layer of glycosaminoglycans in the cat's urinary bladder. Helps control minor lower urinary tract disorders in cats. Indicated for animals with FLUTD or with chronic or idiopathic cystitis. Manufactured by Vet Plus Laboratories.

Some cats are unable to produce N-acetyl-D-glucosamine, a component of the glycosaminoglycans that cover the bladder mucosa. The absence of protective coating causes dysuria, increased permeability and inflammation of the mucous membrane. Cystaid increases the levels of N-acetyl-D-glucosamine, helping to maintain the protective mucous layer of the urinary bladder.

In cats, Cystaid supplementation helps to:

• Regenerate and maintain the mucus layer of the bladder mucosa.

• It stimulates the production of glycosaminoglycans on the bladder wall.

• It reduces the permeability of the bladder wall, reducing inflammation.

• For the administration of CYSTAID®, it is recommended to:

• Start using canned food or moisten dry food.

• Always leave clean and fresh water available to the animal.

• Do not give acidic foods if the urine is acidic and urinary stones (struvite) are not a problem.

• Increase the number of litters.

• Minimize stress levels.

Composition for each capsule:

125 mg of N-acetyl-D-glucosamine (99% purity).

Dosage:

for the first two weeks, administer 2 capsules per day. After that, administer one capsule daily for maintenance.
