Artikrill Horse adultsis a new joint supplement"Doping free", with propertiesanti-inflammatoryAndchondroprotective, based onKrill Oil, Hyaluronic Acid and Omega 3 Fatty Acidslong chain.
By reducing inflammation and regenerating joint catilage, it protects and keeps them healthyjoints of sport horses.
Artikrill Horse adults, thanks to the presence of long-chain Omega 3 fatty acids, performs a powerful activityanti-inflammatorylocally (joint) also inhibiting the propagation of inflammation at the systemic level (low grade inflammation). Furthermore, chondroprotectors and hyaluronic acid contribute to the repair and regeneration of cartilage, restoring its optimal functionality.
WHY USE IT?
BENEFITS? YES, CERTAINLY!
Traditional anti-inflammatory drug treatment, in addition to procuring the problem of doping, fails to resolve the long-term degeneration associated with the chronic inflammatory state of the joint.
Anti-Inflammatory Drugs
The use of NSAIDs for a prolonged period must take into account any negative repercussions on the gastrointestinal system and also the potential damage to the articular cartilages. Furthermore, traditional NSAIDs are unable to inhibit the enzyme 5 lipoxygenase (5LOX) from whose activity other metabolites of arachidonic acid (LTB4 leukotrienes) with high inflammatory potential derive.
In conclusion, we can certainly agree that the use of NSAIDs and corticosteroids has certainly represented for many years the anti-pain and anti-inflammatory medical therapy in human and animal osteoarthritis, having however involved numerous secondary effects.
It is important to take thecompositionby Atrikrill Horse Adults, because only in this way can you appreciate, before trying it on your horse, thequalityof this product.
COMPOSITION70 ml (68 g) of "Artikrill Horse adults"
- EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid):9 g
It is a long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acid (20 carbon atoms) of the Omega 3 series, present in fish oil, which acts positively on the inflammatory mechanism as it is part of the composition of membrane phospholipids in place of arachidonic acid (precursor of different proinflammatory molecules). Furthermore, EPA acts both by reducing some pro-inflammatory metabolites such as IL1, TNF and IL6 and by stimulating the production of anti-inflammatory prostaglandins (PGE3) and leukotrienes (LTB5).
- DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid): 6 g
It is a long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acid (22 carbon atoms) of the Omega 3 series which, re-entering the composition of the cell membrane, guarantees its stability and fluidity. It plays a fundamental role in inflammatory processes as it is the direct precursor of anti-inflammatory molecules such as protectins and resolvins (Hurst et al., 2010).
- KRILL OIL: 1.050mg
It is an oil of animal origin that derives from the cold extraction of the lipid component of some mini crustaceans of the Southern Ocean; it is particularly rich in long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids from the Omega 3 series (EPA and DHA). These fatty acids, present in the form of phospholipids, once ingested, are directly incorporated into the cell membrane, replacing the arachidonic acid. In this sense, therefore, krill oil reduces the inflammatory state especially at the level of the articular synovium. In addition, the krill oil, rich in astaxanthin, contrasts and inactivates oxygen free radicals (ROS) carrying out a powerful antioxidant action.
- GLUCOSAMINE SULFATE: 8.6 g
Glucosamine, a substance that derives from glucose and glutamine, is incorporated in the form of glycosaminoglycans in the proteoglycans found in every tissue of the body and in particular in the joints (synovium). Glucosamine sulfate is used in the treatment of osteoarthritis in the veterinary field. Its use in combination with the long-chain fatty acids of the Omega 3 series (EPA and DHA) has a superior effect compared to a treatment consisting only of the use of the chondroprotector against osteoarthritis (Gruenwald, 2009).
- CHONDROITIN SULFATE: 1.9 g
Chondroitin sulfate is the main component of cartilage; due to its ability to attract water, it helps to “lubricate” the joints. Its content in the cartilages decreases with increasing age of the subject. Chondroitin sulfate performs an effective protection by preventing cartilage wear and / or by stimulating the production of cartilage, in those worn joint areas, through the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans. In fact, it promotes the activity of chondrocytes and inhibits the degradative activity of the cartilage (Clegg et al., 2006).
- CURCUMIN 845.0 mg
It is a plant-based product that has demonstrated anti-inflammatory activity in several experimental models of acute and chronic inflammation. Curcumin inhibits the metabolism of arachidonic acid by blocking lipoxygenase and cyclooxygenase. It also has a powerful antioxidant activity against oxygen free radicals. By promoting chondrogenesis, curcumin allows the repair of cartilage damage in case of joint pathologies.
- HYALURONIC ACID: 0.120 g
Hyaluronic acid belongs to a group of substances known as glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) and being highly water-soluble, in aqueous solution it produces a gel that acts both as a lubricant and as a water absorbent, presenting hygroscopic and homeostatic properties.
Hyaluronic acid is present in the synovial fluid and within the cartilage matrix. Its function within the synovial fluid is as a lubricant during joint movements.
