Pain, lameness, and difficulty moving are no longer a concern: the BT Hock brace is the ideal solution to help resolve hock injuries.
The brace has three pockets for the insertion of two rigid lateral splints and an adjustable front splint.
It is used in pathologies that cause lesions in the hock region, causing symptoms such as pain, lameness or difficulty moving.
The brace, if used without splints, is also useful in the case of pathologies such as arthritis or arthrosis. In fact, the compressive effect of the material it is made of increases blood pressure in the hock area and, consequently, the temperature.
This reduces the pain caused by the pathologies.
The front splint is recommended for those cases in which it is necessary to completely block the hock joint (for example following an operation, or due to neurological problems).
Also used for protection, it can contain plasters or bandages with any medications in the case of surgical wounds or bedsores.
It is also excellent after surgery.

      ADVANTAGES
Stabilizing effect and load reduction: this is how the BT HOCK brace contributes to a prompt functional recovery by preventing secondary damage.
The tutoring action improves the work of the ligaments, reducing pain; the reduced load relieves the injured part, helping to reduce discomfort and, in some cases, swelling.
All this without preventing the dog from carrying out normal movements and ensuring excellent flexion and flexibility of the muscles, while the ligaments remain contracted.
The rigid splints are designed to block the dog's limb at the hock following surgery.

      FEATURES

      • Breathable and hand washable fabric.

      • Fit.

      • It can be used both pre- and post-operatively.

      • The brace already includes the two rigid lateral splints and the adjustable front splint.

      • The splints can be removed by sliding them out of the special pockets.

      • The front splint is adjustable.

      RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE

      • During the period of constriction, it is advisable not to leave the dog alone for too long, because it could try to remove the brace, biting or scratching it.

      • Warning: if the dog is taken out to run or play while wearing the brace, the latter can cause redness from rubbing due to the direct contact of the rigid splints with the skin. We recommend preventing this by placing gauze or cotton wool between the rigid splints and the dog's skin.

      • If splints are used on the brace, consult a veterinarian.

      • Remove the splints before each wash.
