Ideal brace for dogs suffering from carpal hyperextension pathologies, ligament sprains, strains, minor bone fractures
It is designed to support the radiocarpal, carpometacarpal and tarsometatarsal joints of both the front and rear legs.
For dogs suffering from pathologies such as: hyperextension or hyperflexion of the carpus or tarsus, ligament sprains, strains, minor bone fractures that can be resolved if conservative treatment is preferable to surgery.
In the case of use on the front leg, we also recommend BT Joint, as its use on the healthy leg will help the dog to better compensate for the load that it must bear due to the deficit of the other leg.
If BT Splint is used on the hind leg, we recommend using BT Joint for both front legs.
Once the brace has been fitted around the dog's paw, it is not necessary for the 2 white edges to be closed around the paw until they touch, as the closure of the brace is determined by the blue bands and the tutoring action is given by the splint present in the rear part of the brace.
ADVANTAGES
Effectiveness, practicality, ergonomics: the BT Splint laxity brace brings together all of this.
The metal splint in resistant, mouldable material inserted inside the fabric follows the back of the forearm until it accommodates the plantar cushion, stabilising the affected area and allowing the dog good movement.
Also ideal as protection for bandages inserted inside, it allows for quicker recovery times.
