THERAPET DERMAL products are products for the skin hygiene of pets

    Quantity :
The THERAPET DERMAL line respects the hydrolipidic balance of the skin, thanks to the maintenance of
physiological pH, the lipid component and the presence of natural active ingredients with soothing, hydrating and
    antioxidant.

The products of the THERAIDRA line are rich in emollient and hydrating lipid substances, such as glycyrrhetinic acid, palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) and aloe vera, for cleansing skin and hair even in cases of erythema or dermatitis in which it is necessary to restore the integrity of the skin barrier and support the normal functionality of the skin microbiome. The key ingredient is BIOME21®, an original complex of ingredients (Acetyl Heptapeptide-4 and Inulin complex) capable of:
    • Strengthen the function of the skin barrier against physical and pathogenic agents
    • Promote greater microbial diversity, the balance of the skin microbiota and the increase in beneficial bacteria on the skin
    • Increase the expression of genes associated with intercellular junctions, promoting the integrity of the skin barrier
    • Stimulate the immune response against keratinocyte pathogens
    • Modulate the profile of ceramides favoring an increase in long-chain ceramides, essential for preserving the skin barrier
    • Significantly reduce water loss from the epidermis, preserving skin hydration.
In vitro efficacy studies have demonstrated the ability of BIOME21® to promote a change in the skin microbiota in favor of beneficial bacteria. Human keratinocytes were pre-incubated for 24 hours with BIOME21® or with a culture medium as a control. Subsequently, the epidermal cells were exposed to a mixture of S.epidermidis labeled with green fluorescence and inactivated S.aureus labeled with red fluorescence. Keratinocyte nuclei were stained with blue fluorescence.
