FRONTPRO 3 CHEWABLE TABLETS FOR DOGS 2-4KG (11.3MG)

• Frontpro 3 chewable tablets 11.3 mg provides protection against fleas and ticks in dogs weighing 2-4 kg; purchasable without a veterinary prescription, it can be administered to puppies from 8 weeks of age and/or weighing more than 2kg, always referring to the weight range indicated on the package. Frontpro is a tasty chewable tablet to be administered with or without food to obtain protection for up to 30 days, killing fleas before they produce eggs and thus preventing contamination of the home.

2. COMPOSITION

• Chewable tablets.

Red to reddish brown variegated tablets, round in shape (tablets for dogs weighing between 2 and 4 kg) 

4. INDICATIONS

• Treatment of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis and C. canis) in dogs for at least 5 weeks. Treatment of tick infestations (Dermacentor reticulatus, Ixodes ricinus,Rhipicephalus sanguineus) in dogs; one treatment eliminates ticks for up to a month

5. CONTRAINDICATIONS

Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or to one of the excipients.

6. ADVERSE REACTIONS

Neurological signs (convulsions, ataxia and muscle tremors), pruritus, lethargy, anorexia and mild gastrointestinal disorders (vomiting, diarrhoea) have been reported very rarely. Most reported adverse reactions were self-limiting and short-lived. The frequency of adverse reactions is defined using the following conventions:

• very common (more than 1 in 10 treated animals experience adverse reactions)
• common (more than 1 but less than 10 animals per 100 animals treated)
• uncommon (more than 1 but less than 10 animals per 1,000 animals treated)
• rare (more than 1 but less than 10 animals out of 10,000 animals treated)
• very rare (less than 1 animal in 10,000 animals treated, including isolated reports

8. DOSAGE AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION

Oral use

Dosage:
1 tablet of 11.3 mg for dogs weighing 2-4 kg, the tablets should not be divided.
Flea and tick infestation treatment program:
For optimal control of flea and tick infestations, administer the product at monthly intervals during periods of greater seasonality based on the local epidemiological situation.

9. WARNINGS FOR CORRECT ADMINISTRATION

FRONTPRO tablets are chewable beef flavored and palatable to most dogs; it is possible to administer the tablets with food if the dog does not agree to take them directly. 
 

10. SPECIAL STORAGE PRECAUTIONS

Keep out of reach of children. 
Do not administer this veterinary medicinal product after the expiry date stated on the package. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month. This veterinary medicinal product does not require any special storage conditions.

Shelf life of the veterinary medicinal product packaged for sale: 3 years

 

11. SPECIAL WARNINGS

Consult a veterinarian before treating puppies under 8 weeks of age and/or dogs weighing less than 2kg.

To prevent children from access to the veterinary medicinal product, remove only one tablet at a time from the blister; place the blister with the remaining tablets in the box. Wash your hands after administering the product.

Consult a veterinarian before treatment during pregnancy and lactation or before use in breeding dogs. 

 

12. PRECAUTIONS FOR DISPOSAL OF UNUSED PRODUCT OR ANY WASTE

The unused veterinary medicinal product or waste derived from it must be disposed of in accordance with the provisions of local laws. 

 

13. OTHER INFORMATION

Afoxolaner is an insecticide and acaricide belonging to the isoxazoline family.

FRONTPRO is effective against adult fleas and many tick species such as   Dermacentor reticulatus and D. varias, Ixodes ricinus and I. scapularis, Rhipicephalus
sanguineus, Amblyomma americanum  and  Haemaphysalis longicornis.

FRONTPRO eliminates fleas within 8 hours and ticks within 48 hours.

The product eliminates fleas before they produce eggs, thus preventing contamination of the home.

The chewable tablets are available in the following formats: box containing 1 blister of 1, 3 or 6 chewable tablets. It is possible that not all packages are marketed.
