PHARMACOTHERAPEUTIC CATEGORY:  Veterinary medicine for cleaning the ear and treating acute and chronic otitis externa in dogs.

COMPOSITION:

Active ingredients:  Niaouli essence 1.2 mg/g; lidocaine 15 mg/g equivalent to lidocaine hydrochloride 18.5 mg/g; zinc sulfophenate 23 mg/g.

Excipients:  Q.b. to 1 g.

INDICATIONS:  Veterinary medicine for the treatment of acute and chronic otitis externa.

PHARMACEUTICAL FORM:  Ear drops

USE/ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION:  topical

DOSAGE:  It is advisable to lie the animal on its side, with the ear to be treated facing upwards, then holding the tip of the ear taut with one hand, let drip enough medicine into the ear canal to fill it;with the thumb and forefinger of the other hand, rhythmically press the ear at the external base for a few minutes so that the liquid flowing into the ear canal can remove and transport the purulent material upwards, from the bottom towards the outside. Once this maneuver has been carried out, dry the inner part of the ear with cotton wool (without worrying if any liquid remains in the ear canal). In the first few days the medication should be done morning and evening; as soon as the animal has stopped shaking its ears it will be sufficient to medicate it once a day. After 3-4 days the animal will appear relieved and you will also notice the disappearance of any unpleasant odor. After clinical healing it is recommended to continue ear medication every 2-3 days. The product can also be used as a preventive against relapses and for methodical cleaning of the ear: washing the ear canal every 7-8 days is sufficient.

STORAGE: Store protected from light and away from heat sources. Shelf life after first opening the container: 3 months.
