Hookworms: Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum (adults). Whipworms: Trichuris vulpis (adults). CESOTDI. Tapeworms: Echinococcus spp., (E. granulosus, E. multilocularis), Taenia spp. (T. hydatigena, T. pisiformis, T. taeniformis), Dipylidium caninum (adult and immature forms).

Contraindications:  Do not administer simultaneously with piperazine compounds. Do not administer to animals with known hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients.

      Undesirable effects: No notes.

Use during pregnancy, breastfeeding or lay: Teratogenic effects attributed to high doses of febantel have been reported in sheep and mice. No studies have been performed in bitches during the early part of pregnancy. The use of the product during pregnancy must be subject to an evaluation of the risk/benefit ratio. It is recommended not to use the product in bitches during the first 4 weeks of pregnancy. Do not exceed the recommended dose when treating pregnant dogs.

Interaction with other veterinary medicinal products and other forms of interaction: Do not administer concurrently with piperazine compounds as the anthelmintic effects of pyrantel and piperazine may be antagonized. Concomitant use of other cholinergic compounds may cause toxicity.

Dosage and route of administration: Administer only via Oral. For dosages, follow the following indications: 15mg/kg of body weight for febantel, 5 mg/kg for pyrantel (equivalent to 14.4 mg of pyrantel embonate) and 5 mg/kg for praziquantel. Equivalent to 1 tablet of Strantel Plus per 10 kg of body weight. The tablets can be administered directly to the dog or hidden in food. A fasting period is not necessary, either before or after treatment. If there is a risk of reinfestation, contact a veterinarian to request information on the need and frequency of other administrations.

Overdose (symptoms, emergency procedures, antidotes) if necessary:  Fleas are the intermediate hosts of a common type of tapeworm, called Dipylidium caninum . Tapeworm infestation will certainly recur if control measures are not implemented on intermediate hosts, such as fleas, mice, etc. Tapeworm infestation is unlikely in puppies younger than 6 weeks. Resistance of a parasite to a particular class of anthelmintics may develop following frequent, repeated use of an anthelmintic of that class. To ensure the correct dosage, body weight should be determined as accurately as possible. Special precautions for those who administer the product to animals: in case of accidental ingestion, contact a doctor immediately and show him the package leaflet. In compliance with hygiene rules, wash your hands after administering the tablets directly to the dog or after adding them to his food. Overdose: Combined administration of praziquantel, pyrantel embonate and febantel is well tolerated by dogs. In safety studies, doses five or more times higher than recommended occasionally caused vomiting.

      Waiting time:  Not applicable.

Storage:  This veterinary medicinal product does not require any special storage conditions. Discard unused tablets.
