Formulated by nutritionists and veterinarians who are experts in the care of "exotic" and companion animals, Carnivore Support Diet satisfies 100% of the needs of a sick or convalescent obligate carnivore. The Carnivore Support Diet formula contains 45% protein and 32% fat with vitamins and minerals. This specially formulated product contains easily digestible proteins from high quality eggs and poultry to increase nutritional absorption. This unique blend is available in a convenient powdered formula which, when mixed with water, allows for just the right amount of Carnivore Support Diet
Many ferrets with respiratory infections are reluctant to eat unless highly palatable food is offered. The assisted feeding with Carnivore Support Diet is a recommended help in ferrets and other carnivorous animals such as cats, birds of prey or reptiles hospitalized after surgery and helps prevent dehydration in cases of diarrhea.
Originally formulated for ferrets, Carnivore Support Diet can be used as a supplemental diet for other carnivorous animals. Consult your veterinarian for dietary guidelines and further information.
Loss of appetite is a normal secondary symptom of any serious problem due to the fact that the majority of sick animals do not eat. Carnivore Support Diet should be used under the supervision of a veterinarian.

Feeding methods
Syringe
Prepare a soft dough in a bowl and collect it in the back of a syringe where the plunger has been removed. Slowly administer small amounts until the dose recommended by the veterinarian is reached.
Table spoon
Mix a thick mixture to offer to the convalescent carnivore with a spoon. With this type of feeding it may be necessary to wrap the animal in a soft towel.
Bowl
While the animal recovers, it may not be necessary to continue assisted feeding. Mix a thick dough and place it in the pet's favorite bowl, so that the animal feeds itself. Be sure to clean the bowl between meals.
As a condiment
If the animal is ready to try eating its normal diet, add wet or dry Carnivore Support Diet as a seasoning to enhance the flavor of the food and stimulate the pet's appetite.
