        INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Before you start brushing your pet, carefully read all the instructions and FAQs. Use the FURminator deShedding tool for the undercoat only as directed in the instructions. DeShedding is not the same as brushing or combing - it removes dead hair without cutting or damaging the coat *.

        PHASE 1

The removal of the undercoat can be done at any time on a horse on dry coat, but for best results it is recommended to proceed immediately after bathing or drying. The complete line of FURminator® brand grooming products, when used regularly, will help keep horses' skin and coat healthy and significantly reduce the amount of hair scattered around the house.

        STEP 2

Before using the undercoat deShedding tool, carefully inspect your horse. Check that no sores, wounds or skin diseases are hidden under the coat. If present, consult a veterinarian before brushing. Also, before using the deShedding tool, remove any knots or tangles of fur with the adjustable deMatter tool or the FURminator grooming comb.

        STEP 3

Use the deShedding tool like a brush, gently swiping it over the coat in the direction of hair growth and tilting the stainless steel teeth towards the coat. Start from the head of the animal and move gradually towards the tail, paying particular attention to the sensitive areas (belly, legs, genitals and anus). Avoid going over the same point too many times; instead brush gently, with a few long movements and keeping the tool at a safe distance from the horse's skin. Although the Skin Guard protection serves to make the instrument slide over the skin, preventing the teeth from sinking into it, it is advisable not to apply too much pressure, to avoid that with too much energy you risk irritating the animal's skin. If redness or irritation occurs, discontinue use.

        STEP 4

To remove excess hair collected by the tool, just press the FURejector button.

        * When used according to the instructions.
