It is composed of a protein similar to that found in mother's milk (called decapeptide un- casozepine) .
This protein temporarily binds certain receptors in the brain to promote a sense of calm and to reduce anxiety .
Like humans, horses also experience apprehension and stress in certain situations.
Stress is normal to a degree, but if the stress becomes excessive, it can lead to behavioral. Zylkene Equine may help relieve the anxiety and stressexperienced in situations such as rasping teeth, traveling or a change of environment, prolonged box rest and weaning.
