It is designed to support the radio-carpal, carpometacarpal and tarsometatarsal joints, both of the front and rear legs.
For dogs suffering from diseases such as: hyperextension or hyperflexion of the carpus or tarsus, ligament sprains, strains, minor bone infringements that can be resolved if conservative treatment is preferable to surgery.
In the case of use on the foreleg, we also recommend BT Joint, as its use on the healthy paw will help the dog to better compensate the load that the same has to bear due to the deficit of the other paw.
If BT Splint is used for the hind leg, we recommend using the BT joint for both front legs.
Once the brace has been mounted around the dog's paw it is not necessary that the 2 white edges are closed around the paw until they touch each other, as the brace closure is determined by the blue bands and the tutoring action is given by the splint present in the back of the brace.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE

• During the period of restraint, it is advisable not to leave the dog alone for too long, as he may try to remove the brace, biting or scratching it.

• The brace is designed for indoor environments. To avoid damaging it with outdoor use, it is necessary to make the dog wear a protective shoe or sock, which can be purchased in any pet shop.

MEASURES
The measurements are purely indicative, some breeds may not coincide with the sizes indicated.
If used for the hind legs, choose the smaller size than the indicated weights (for example: if the dog weighs 27 kg, for the front leg choose size M, for the hind leg choose size S).

The splint is already modeled but the angle can be changed by the vet if necessary.
The splint should be shaped by the vet first on the sound limb (front or back) to ensure the correct angulation of the affected leg.
