Advantix Spot on pesticide against fleas, ticks and mosquitoes.
    Product intended exclusively for dogs.
    Do not use on cats!

Advantix® Spot-on  is indicated for the treatment and prevention of flea infestations (C. canis, C. felis) and for the treatment of head lice (Trichodectes canis) in dogs.

Advantix® Spot-on  is a topical ectoparasiticide containing imidacloprid and permethrin. This association acts as an insecticide, acaricide and repellent. Imidacloprid is effective against adult fleas and the larval stages of fleas. In addition to imidacloprid's adulticidal efficacy against fleas, larvicidal efficacy has been demonstrated in the environment surrounding the treated pet. The larval stages present in the environment surrounding the dog are killed following contact with a treated animal.

    Features

    • Advantix not only eliminates fleas and ticks, but also has a repellent effect against ticks, mosquitoes and sandflies.
    • Prevents fleas from biting and therefore eliminates them. Fleas on dogs are killed within a day of treatment.
    • Imidacloprid , one of the two active ingredients contained in Advantix, is also effective against flea larvae present in the environment surrounding the treated dog.
    • It repels ticks and kills those that come into contact with the skin, reducing the risk of transmission of diseases such as Borreliosis, Rickettsiosis, Ehrlichiosis.
    • Repels mosquitoes and sandflies, reducing the risk of transmission of diseases such as Leishmaniasis.
    • Can be used in pregnant and lactating bitches.
    • It is effective even if the dog gets wet.
    • Do not use on puppies under 7 weeks of age and the weight indicated for each pack.

How Advantix works: Advantix is a product resulting from the combination of two ingredients: Imidacloprid - known for its rapid action on fleas - and Permethrin, a pyrethroid known for its effectiveness.
The two substances, acting together, ensure that Imidacloprid increases the effectiveness of permethrin.
The product provides a repellent activity against ticks, sandflies and mosquitoes, thus preventing the parasites from biting and therefore reducing the risk of transmission of vector-borne dog diseases such as borreliosis, rickettsiosis, ehrlichiosis and leishmaniasis.
Furthermore, the product provides an activity repellent against the horsefly, thus helping the prevention of fly bite dermatitis.
Imidacloprid Imidacloprid is an ectoparasiticide belonging to the class of chloronicotinyl compounds.
From a chemical point of view, it can be classified as a chloronicotinylnitroguanidine.
Imidacloprid is effective against adult fleas and the larval stages of fleas.
Besides In addition to the Adulticidal efficacy against fleas of Imidacloprid, a larvicidal efficacy has been demonstrated in the environment surrounding the treated pet. The larval stages present in the environment surrounding the dog are killed following contact with a treated animal.
Imidacloprid has a high affinity for nicotinergic acetylcholine receptors in the post-synaptic region of the central nervous system (CNS) of insects.
The consequent inhibition of cholinergic transmission leads to paralysis and death of the parasite in insects.
Permethrin: Permethrin belongs to the class of acaricides and type I pyrethroid insecticides and also acts as a repellent.
Pyrethroids affect the voltage-gated sodium channels of vertebrates and invertebrates.
Pyrethroids are so-called "open channel blockers" and affect the sodium channel by slowing down both its activation and inactivation properties, thus leading to hyperexcitability and death of the parasite.

Advantix does not replace preventive treatment of heartworm.
The treatment must be repeated, depending on the parasites, every 2-3-4 weeks.
It is a veterinary medicine: ask your vet for advice.
Read the warnings in the package leaflet carefully.
Keep out of reach of children and use particular caution until the application site is dry.
    Incorrect use can be harmful.
Precautions: Some dogs are exposed to water frequently due to washing or swimming.
In general it is recommended, if the dog needs to be bathed or washed, to do so before applying the product.
Advantix can then be applied as soon as the coat is dry.
Advantix remains effective even if the animal gets wet.
However, prolonged and intense exposure to water should be avoided.
In case of frequent exposure to water, the persistence of the product's effectiveness may be reduced.
In these cases do not repeat the treatment more frequently than once a week.
Care should be taken to prevent the contents of the pipette from coming into contact with the eyes or mouth of treated dogs.
Care must be taken to correctly administer the Advantix product as described in the instructions for use.
In particular, oral intake must be prevented due to the fact that the treated animal or other animals lick the site where the product was applied.

Indication:  pesticide for external use based on Imidacloprid and Permethrin.
